Meet Priscilla, winner of the LIVFund Best Treehugger Pioneer Award.

A member of the CIEE Costa Rica Sustainability and the Environment team, Priscilla has created Trash Art to promote environmental awareness in Monteverde, Costa Rica.

She works with students to create practical and artistic products using recycled materials. Priscilla says her project is “a way to teach the Monteverde community the importance of recycling and reusing materials and how to look at ‘trash’ in a totally different way.”

Collaborating with Priscilla to make Trash Art happen are Monteverde resident Orlando Calvo and American exchange student Carrie Lierl.

Check out some of their Earth friendly creations!
