Get ready, folks. LIVFund is taking off!
We are celebrating the inauguration of the new LIVFund Scholarship by honoring LIVFund Pioneers – individuals who are making the world a better place through their learn, intern or volunteer endeavors in Latin America!
Have you heard about any cool projects lately? Is your own project Pioneer worthy? Don’t be shy! We want to hear all about it.
We are accepting nominations for the following categories:
1. Middle of Nowhere: We need your help locating these adventurous spirits! This award goes to someone who is making a difference in a remote corner of Latin America. [Deadline for nominations: November 1, 2011]
2. Best Treehugger: Nominate a nature-lover who is dedicated to conserving and improving the environment. [Deadline for nominations: November 15, 2011]
3. Helping Hand: For a kind-hearted soul serving an underprivileged population. [Deadline for nominations: December 1, 2011]
4. Beautification: For a creative individual who is making the world a better place through art, music, design or performance. [Deadline for nominations: December 15, 2011]
5. Most Unusual: We are intrigued by bizarre projects that are making a splash! [Deadline for nominations: January 1, 2012]

Winners will receive their choice of [a] a US$250 cash prize to further their Pioneer efforts or [b] the new iPod Touch to stay in contact with loved ones.
Additionally, each Pioneer’s story will be featured on the LIVFund Blog and social media networks. This is a great way to spread the word about projects that are making a difference and encourage more people to get involved in learn, intern and volunteer activities in Latin America.
